The new Ecodesign 2022 norm will help fight climate change

Contents

January the 1st 2022 is the date chosen by the European Union to have the new Ecodesign 2022 norm come into effect. However, some countries already have it implemented such as Bulgaria, the Netherlands and Poland.

This is a very important change for the wood stove industry. The new standard implies a number of very strict rules to respect. In short, from January the 1st 2022, it will be impossible to manufacture and sell wood stoves that do not respect the technical characteristics required by the Ecodesign 2022 norm. The objectives are to assure a better use of the wood to achieve a more efficient heating and to reduce drastically the CO2 emissions. To reach these goals, we have to redesign the products and use the latest technology for the manufacturing in our factory.

At Panadero we did not wait for the last moment to act and take measures. We have been working on this adaptation for more than two years and all our wood stoves are already available with the Ecodesign 2022 standard. This implied a huge dedication in terms or time and investments but as usual during our long history, we managed to do what was necessary in order to keep offering to our customers the best products on the market.

With this new standard of quality and respect for the environment, Panadero will be able to continue giving to all customers a huge choice of wood stoves with attractive designs and the best efficiency possible to build a greener world.
